Biology:
The Conflux composed from many subspecies, some of them are violent predators, and most of them are warious small and less agressive species forced to symbiosis through genetic manipulation.
Society:
The Conflux has evolved deep beneath surface of the vast ocean that covers entire surface of they homeworld, under extremly high pressure and constant darkness they society developed around constant recource gathering. Founded by hunters and predators first with pure force, and with genetics later this community grown in a planet-wide collective.
History:
The Conflux interstellar history begins with discovery of efficent way of crystal manipulation. An entire surface of the planetary ocean is covered by methane ice. A fev millenia have passed before they discovered outside world of ice and frozen crystals. Those crystals are also radioactive because of intense solar radiation. Using natural organic nanotechnology Conflux just found practically limitless source of energy supply for space exploration and started to replicate it quickly and efficently.
