They seem too similar to Supply Storage - they're just bulkier but cheaper! Are they supposed to generate supplies too, or be limited to one per ship?

That's no space station - it's a spreadsheet!

They are to go with the engines, which no longer carry supplies. No, they do not generate supplies.

Yeah, but supply storage stores supplies, too - just seems like too many components that are too similar!

edit: and in that regard, how about getting rid of the slave resource extraction facilities, and just implementing a Slavery cultural achievement that you can research that has the same effect (increasing resource output and decreasing morale) empire-wide? Though I guess it could be annoying if you stole the tech from an enemy empire via intel! Maybe if there were some special facility you could build, much like the policy facilities, that designated a colony as a slave colony, and the cultural achievement's effects only applied to colonies with the facility?

I know, but they help fill in the extra space.

As for the slaved thing, there are events related to those slave facilities, so the current setup give players more control over the events.
