Nice work. It's too bad you never tried your hand at an SE4 shipset.

making an se4 shipset out of se5 renderings shouldn't be so hard, please Kwayne apply your skills to it, just to give new lymph to us se4 enthusiasts

The main problem with that is that SE5 has like 6 or 7 fewer ships and units than SE4. If you're making models already, not a big deal to make a few more. But just converting an existing shipset leaves a couple of gaps.
Smarter than your average Texrak.

yeah that's right, but often just minor modifies to existing models can be enough to fill the gaps, for units we can also be satisfied with duplicate fighter's portraits and maybe different sized minis

I made a couple of SEIV sets in the past but I lost them along with the motivation to make new. I could make conversions, but the fact that I only make easy shipsets like this makes clear where my lazyness draws the line.
Haven't been making much new ships lately, I needed to make a portrait:

Nice! Are you interested in doing a Haydonite or Zentraedi set?

No. (Sorry!)
For me, Star Control races have the highest priority.
Sometimes I make non-SC shipsets, but honestly Macross/Robotech shipsets are somewhere at the bottom of my to-do list.

The Macross races are quite a bit more complicated to pull off, too. Especially one like the Haydonites.

Okay, just asking. I'd love to have them but I don't have the skill to make one myself.

I tried my hand at it the Haydonites once for SE4, and was never happy with the results.
