Say, why do the specialized hulls require certain levels of Combat Ship Construction, though? Rather odd, if you ask me...
And what's with the monsters level 5 and 6 - how is a battlecruiser supposed to be bigger than a worldship?
"Reckoned" is misspelled "reconned" a few times in VehicleSize.txt
"Movement" is misspelled in the engine reactor descriptions (at least the fission engine reactor)
Why does the large fuel storage tank have the same HP as the regular one?
Laser Beam and Chemical Laser (WTF! That is one POWERFUL friggin' laser! Shocked and only 5kT???) have the same pic...
Fuel tanks and solar panels don't really need to be mountable on satellites...
Why are large WP weapons easier to hit with than light ones?

The Chemical Laser can only fire once during combat. If you equip all your ships with just Chemical Lasers and they don't destroy the enemy fleet, you're screwed.

Non-combat hulls, such as transports, carriers, colony ships, etc.

It would not make sense for someone to have a 2000kt carrier but only have the tech to build a 100kt scout

But in the game, why would it make sense for them to have the tech to build a 5000kT superdreadnought but only a puny 300kT carrier, either? How about tying all the hulls (combat as well as noncombat) to 2 tech areas: a general Ship Construction tech, and a specific type (Combat Ship Construction, Carrier Construction, etc.) - instead of tying only the noncombat hulls to 2 tech areas?

combat ship construction is really the general ship construction, then once you have those researched you can research the tech to build specialized hulls from the basic combat ships
