The headline says it all: is there a trainer that can function with v1.79 of SE5?

I have a trainer that functions with the plain v1.0, but it fails with v1.79 - I guess because the memory address of those variables has changed.

My trainer was the forums.

My long-time trainer will be these forums, too. Smile

But I am looking for a software called trainer, to influence the values of some of the game variables during the game.

Is there a trainer (software) for SP5 v1.79?

No, I can't imagine anyone making one either.

I can't imagine why anyone would bother. The existing cheat codes are more than enough help for any beginner.

I tried the cheat codes. But bothing happens. Example:

I entered ~research~ or ~fastbuild~ on the main game screen (that where you see your solar system) during the game play (no planet or ship was selected), and nothing happened, no change.

You might be able to pull something off with a "generic" trainer maker tool that's able to search, freeze and replace values in memory... I don't have any specific one to recommend, iirc the last time I used one was under Windows 98...

Yeah, was thinking about such, too. I have one or two of them somewhere on my PC, but don't found them yet...

Will give a try.

Lots of the cheat codes don't work if it's a simultaneous game.
Specifically, neither of the ones you mentioned work. Same with Intel, repair ship, restore movement...

Also, you need to have cheat codes enabled when you create the game, which I assume you have done.

I have used a memory editor like ArtMoney. There is a free version available for download. It's really easy to use, and I know it works with all versions of both SEIV and SEV.
