I know this may be impossible with current scripts/code available, but tracking and navigating jumps through the current menu list is a real organizational nightmare. It's quite difficult to visualize your choices in the big picture.

It would be much easier to track things if all the stars would be 'seen' on the main map, but grayed out. You could only see the name, and the relative position to your starting location. You can already determine the name from the FTL jump menu, and presumably the stars visible would have garnered names long before the race went into space.

In even more wild-eyed fantasies...if when mousing over stars from the FTL jump destination list, the relevant star would highlight on the main map. Also a great wish would be that when a particular ship opens the FTL destination menu, it's jump range would be displayed as a radius ring on the main map.

You can also triangulate system locations by checking the distances from several different systems.

2: can't do that without giving people the locations of every system at the beginning of the game. It's not coded to work that way.

3: YEah, more wishful thinking. Sad
