I considered posting this message in the Senate. But since the talk of a reprimand has died down some, I thought it best not to dredge up the topic in public.

I want you to know that we here at Dragonstar are glad to see the Illuminatia Brotherhood is focusing on colonization. While I can understand your colleagues are frustrated, it is not your responsibility to defend worlds. That is a military responsibility, and it should fall to the Navy and any relevant military corporations. It is their job to predict and intercept enemy moves, not yours.

I do not even fault you for lacking corporate services. We are well aware of IB attempts to sign up various military corporations for protection. JAF Corp, Maverick Defense Contractors, etc. Sadly these corporations have not lived up to their deals. The Illuminatia Brotherhood should not be blamed for this.

One might even commend you for focusing on colonization. The greatest hit to our military recently has been economical. Loss of trade income has hit us all hard. Nobody is willing to give the Navy a budget increase, even its supporters. And I am facing possible loss of a contract. Only system lords like yourself can resolve this problem.

So I ask that you continue to push expansion. Increase resource production. It is no good building ships if we cannot afford them. Just look at how many warships are mothballed.

For what it is worth, the IB has the support of Dragonstar Industries to pursue economic expansion over military.
