Can you be more specific? The Orion AI is the same for all minor races to if its causing problems for the Orion's, then it might be doing the same for the other minor races.

With Orions.....BTW I was not able to load the Orions as Player Race it states that the program is not able the emp file

Thank you so much for the new version. I am also getting the same errors with the satelite layers. I haven't noticed anything untoward with the orions, but I turned off the minor races for this game.

On another note, I noticed a post of yours at the Shrapnel board in which you said that you are considering a Star Wars Mod after you complete AST 2.0. Please, please, please, please, please make a Star Wars Mod with a working AI. It's sad to see a grown man beg, but I'm begging. I would be willing to help in any way that I am capable. I would even be willing to compensate you for your work. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help make a Star Wars Mod a reality.

The bug has been fixed. Thank you for reporting it. You can download the fix from http://www.astempire.net/zips/STMv197Fix.zip or go over to the STM discussion at Shrapnel Games and download it there.

I have already updated the full patch so the fix is incorporated into it for future downloads. Thanks for reporting it.

Yes I intend to make a Star Wars mod. I have already completed concept work on it and have been making new images for it. I hope to have it ready to go in a month or so. I want to have a playable Star Wars mod too. Smile

This has nothing to do with the fix.

It would seem that the research file for the Terrans might be corrupted.

I know what your problem is.

You need to delete your Pictures Race DS9, Terran Empire, UCP, Vulcan, and TMP race folders.

Then open Pictures Other Federation Races, folder and copy and past those five races into your Pictures Races folder.

The Terran AI in your current TerranEmpire folder is using old AI.

Back in version 1.9.6 I removed those five federation sets because they were being added more frequently than any other race thus making the game one big FEDERATION love fest.

You can if you want, just copy over the AI files for each of those five races instead of deleting the old folders. It is up to you.

My current test game is at turn 150. The Federation and the Ferengi are the two strongest empires with over 300 planets each. The Klingons are at war with two races and the Romulans are at war with me and the Ferengi. The Ferengi are at war with me as well. I am holding my own, thank god to remote mining, but have lost two planets to the Romulans who captured them. The Ferengi are massing ships and taking out planets, the same with the Romulans. I was able to fend them off for a while with fighters, would launch masses of them and use them as sentries around the warp points, but they run out of supplies fast and the Romulans have learned to counter them.

So far so good. The AI's are using intel to attack me, and have captured planets, deployed mines, mine sweepers, and are generally doing a good job of expanding.

I couldnt pinpoint it it happend once in 5 games.... shit happens:)

Idea: Why dont give ye the Feds (DS9 TNG) the Tricobalt Torpedo.

Its an Long Range Torpedo Weapon with High damage.
Cut the Range for the Feds Torps and make this theier longrange weapon.

If ye need some stats I will PM:)

That should not cause an error. Any is a valid entry in weapon type requirement. So unless you can post more information about the error, ie when it occurs and such, then I really cannot help you find what might be causing it.

The reason the error is repeating is probably because you did not start a new game after updating the mod. If that is correct then that is most likely the culprit and source of the error.

Ok thanks, I will go through the files one by one and try and figure out what the hell is causing the problem. I am really sorry that this has caused a problem. Discovered that when you build Exp. Conyard Project B and you upgrade it, it will upgrade to the Axp. Conyard A facility and both of them have similar abilities.


And then please give the Fed STNG Heavy Escort ex much KT as the Klingon Bird of Prey (around 380 KT i think)


But never less, this mod is the best!
