Is there anyway to turn off the edge scrolling and rotation from the mouse? I tend to always play in windowed mode and it is starting to get annoying with things spinning all the time.

Yeah, but I can't remember how... I think it's either one of the function keys or one of the buttons somewhere on the HUD...

Yes, there's a button for locking the system view...

Sadly locking the system view doesn't help. I still want to use the arrow keys to scroll and rotate in some systems simply to avoid the irritation of clicking lots to get the right object. I just want to disable mouse scrolling.

Sadly, I don't think you're going to be able to do that... What about locking it in a top-down view?

locking system view is easy ctrl-z I think. You can unlock and relock it as often as needed.

Why are you playing in windowed mode? If it's merely for performance reasons, and not for multitasking, you might want to check out the SE5 fullscreen windowed script, available from the downloads section of spaceempires.net.
