I'm bringing this up as someone else pointed out in the startrek thread.
I can't find the final version of AST (which I believe was 2.01?) It's been so long I can't remember.
1.9.7 works for right now but Atrocities image addon isn't available anymore. and the 2.0 on this site is for 1.9.4 and, despite what it says, isn't compatible with 1.9.7 and simply causes errors.
On a similar note, I've just returned to SEIV after losing it, and more importantly, all of my mods (and all of my alterations to said mods, which I'm working on remaking now), due to the nearly simultaneous failure of multiple hard drives. In attempting to download everything again, I'm finding that some of the links are simply dead to due old age and things changing/expiring.
Is there another way I could acquire the mods/information that was once stored in such links? The most important of those, for my current purposes, is the link containing the Carrier Battles School of Design (previously here). I've searched Google some, but mostly come up with either dead links or unrelated topics, such as tutorials about how to design effective ships in vanilla SEIV, which doesn't help my friend or I who will never be playing an unmodded game.
If I'm remembering correctly, the CB School of Design had some useful information for designing that, when keeping in mind some of the differences, transcends just the Carrier Battles mod and can also apply to other mods with leaky shields and armor, such as Adamant mod. That information would be useful to have for helping to explain exactly how such a behavior works, and what implications it has on starship design. Back to top
Thank you, that should help immensely with describing things for my friend.
Edit: Actually, even that link isn't working anymore. I'm assuming it's just a temporary lapse in the server though? I really should have copied everything last night so I'd have it regardless of things going down...
I have another question though... Where does an updated version of the Windowed SE4 Tool reside? The one I found here doesn't seem to be the most recent version as it doesn't include a 'glass shield' over the dangerous buttons. I've never had a problem with those buttons due to never misclicking on them, but I would like to prevent that possibility for the future and for friends I would play with. Back to top
I've always found the 'glass shield' pictures to be a bit gaudy though, so I've edited them to make them less intrusive, and merely darken the buttons while blending seamlessly with the currently existing UI. However, I'm finding that a .gif simply isn't working because every time the file is saved, the colors are corrupted and that makes it look a little odd in game. Is there any possible way to make the tool use a .bmp instead so the colors are maintained accurately? Back to top

You'll have to edit the source script (the .ahk file) and either run it using AutoHotKey (a free scripting tool available at www.autohotkey.com ) or recompile it using said tool. That's no space station - it's a spreadsheet! Back to top
