I reply to the AI frequently, despite knowing it has no clue what I'm saying... it's what I do for a little RP fun. I use the word idiot a lot! And I'm playing with the improved AI logic of BM 119i.
The AI seems to like treaties having less economic value for them than existing treaties. Maybe this is their way of saying You the player are too powerful/dangerous... I don't know, I haven't looked at any AI script logic.
Another thing they do is offer a treaty as if none exists, that is otherwise identical to an existing treaty in all but name. Then several months later they do it again.
Idjitz...
My ministers are "more sinisters than ministers".

It would make sense that if you're more powerful than the AI that it might offer a treaty designed to favour you, essentially trying to make it worth your while to stay in the treaty rather than just declaring war.
It would be better if they sought to amend existing treaties rather than repeatedly proposing new ones though, there's no need for that.

I've also noticed that if I reply with a counter proposal a lot of the time the AI will seemingly lose interest.
Hehe, one of my favorite jokes is that AI actually stands for "Artificial Idiot".

On that note. Sometimes I just ignore their treaties and they usually stop sending requests, but that was with the original AI not BM.

BM's AI isn't terribly different in that regard. It's better at deciding, when/what treaties to make, but still uses similar logic when deciding if it wants to reply.
