Hello Kwok and fellow gamers. Been enjoying SE IV and V for years, mostly thanks to Kwoks excellent contributions.
Just wanted to let Kwok know there are still people eagerly awaiting the Trek AI for balance mod. I haven't seen mention of them in months, please remember us. Thanks so much for all the hard work, you make the game shine.

I won't forget! Somewhat unfortunately v1.19 just kept on growing into multiple versions, which has pushed back the other things I've wanted to do for SE5. I don't like leaving items knowingly short-changed, which is why I tend to get caught in these chains of fixes/changes.

I wonder if you can push yourself to call 1.20 'finished' at some point. Not that I don't appreciate the many bug fixes! I can't even take a short break from SEV without coming back and finding a newly polished Balance Mod waiting for me.

I still cant thank Kwok enough for fixing this game for us! How about all those Startrek Shipsets? Would it be worth it to download all the Races Available and feasibly play a "StarTrek" game. Are the shipsets anygood? I have slow (28k) internet speed so even 10 megs is enough to deter me. I tried the borg one but my net failed before it finished dling.
I know the BotF (Birth of the federation) was an Awesome game. lent to me by a friend and i've since returned. But once properly modded is an amazing startrek experience. Especially if you can get involved in the online community. The fact you can only chat with other Races you've met even human players was a neat feature. especially if you "Roleplay"
But enough of that Old game. im going to need to do some research on how to play this game over web.

Ther is a way to give the AI's personalities you like. You can build the custom races(Klingons and Romulans have very nice shipsets, as do others) and give them the AI's of Kwok's design to match each race. I know Kontana had a post a while back explaining how to do this, but I can't find it right now.
I have it set up on my home computer; after I get off work, I'll findit and post it here.

There are many shipsets available to download; I would start here:
http://www.spaceempires.net/downloads-cat-38.html
I have looked at many of them; many are really well done.
Then all you need to do is attatch an AI t them.
They are new portraits, race pics, flags, and 3-D models.
