NEWS FLASH!

V1.3 uploaded. Due to the size of it (32MB) I had to divide it into 3 sections for ease. Main file is here, and will be in the upload section sometime > http://files.spaceempires.net/user/1528/Skywalker_V1.3.7z

It will also require a system zip that should be placed in the Skywalker V1.3 /pictures folder. It uses a lot of graphics by Black Knyght that will be available in his Quardant Mod shortly to be uploaded.

Please stand by... Patch pending as Lenny has found a few AI bugs, which we've fixed and checking into a couple of other oddities which relates to the new races I've added. Time factor... hm, soon!

Sorry for being a bit slow, work, work and more work. Hopefully this patch has got everything you need, still waiting on AT for the last few components to upload the component pack update. This should provide all that you need.

And could you take a minute to describe your mod?

I guess it's been around a while and everyone is supposed to know the theme and such. I looked over the included readme and just found a few updates.

What's Skywalker all about? Why'd you design it? Smile

Hm, wish I had more time. Many people would know (but not all), that it was developed from the DevNull Mod. It's taken a different direction and expanded each time.

Reason for the several files rather than one are two fold. One, at 32MB its too big to upload to any site like this. Two, a massive component pack update is almost complete, but I couldn't wait any longer, so I had to include those components needed into the mod - a LOT of them, plus the nebulaes etc..

CSM are only 25 kt (stock is 50 kt), but now there is a missile mount to boost the range by 2 sectors, but this costs with the size increasing to 30kt. The forum I use for the mod has a lot of what I have done in it as well.

Since V1.2 it has anti-personnel missiles, 3 types for destroying boarding parties / security stations / master comupters. V 1.3 has an armed transport ship with built in boarding abilities! Thats a hum-dinger, board 3 ships with one of them, cause the AI thinks it's just a transport! Smile Now in PBW2 that might be different...

I am about to update the patch, as it missed one pic and I found an error in the component.txt file (engineering lvl 2 only required research lvl 1 instead of 2)

I have now updated the V1.3 version to V1.3b.

This corrects a couple of errors, and adds a speech file for the Monster race, tones down their over powerful early stage slightly, but gives them extra weapon levels, Habit level at a later period when they start to become weak. It also adds a new Religious weapon, Spirit Torpedo (DF).

For some strange reason 4 planet pics were left out of Planet Pack 15 and these are included here.

This Update also includes a SCENARIO! Read the files in that folder to get an idea of what its all about - IE the ugly, evil Spaceshark Race.

Place the file in the Scenarios folder of the Mod, and extract. If the folder doesn't exist, create it first.
I have tried this briefly in V 1.3. Although it runs, the tech will be stuffed (you get monster tech!) You can start researching normal tech, but its rather a pain given you have to start from scratch, but is possible.
