|
|
After some hasty negotiations and a consultation with the Secretary of State for the Federation, a merger has been authorized between Monzo Shipyards and DynaCorp Industries. The esteemed Monzo has taken this opportunity to go into semi-retirement and tour the Federation. Monzo will retain a minority stake in the combined corporation, and remains on the Board of Directors. A DCI shuttle is now transporting Monzo to Lirketh, where his Federation Tour will begin. (OOC: I'll just be moving around Monzo's avatar in a shuttle)
Full operations of Monzo Shipyards is now transitioning to a management team from DynaCorp Industries. A full audit of the combined assets of Monzo and DynaCorp will be taking place throughout the month, followed by an auction of materiel deemed redundant or unsustainable in 2409.9, and re-opening select shipyards to external bids.

I'm pleased to hear the news. Reports of Monzo stepping out of his own airlock were rather off the mark thankfully. His personage is always welcome at any House Hermes Recreation Facility (HHRF).
(OOC) Nice touch.

So how will this affect the transfer of the resources and assets that have already been transfered to assorted parties?

It won't effect anything at all. His Last Will and Testament went through word for word afaik. SL Idiotbang received alot of planets and is all the sudden, in one stroke, a pretty powerful SL now. He went from being less than SL Crixon, our newest SL with only a few planets to his credit, to on par with Dkanre perhaps - it certainly seems he has more planets than Combat Wombat now, if I'm not much mistaken.
The resources are being doled out to you, Kana since you couldn't have handled it all at once, apparently. Storage-wise that is. SL Heimdall got the repair fleet and SL Fulgrymm got some planets too. Oh and you got some repair ships too I do believe.

So is DCI going to honor any outstanding contract that Monzo Shipyards had?
Namely: http://home.spaceempires.net/ftopict-4704.html
It has been reported that you have possession of the the two vessels in question, yet they have only been retrofitted to -C level not the -D level in the contract.
The Navy would require that these vessels either be properly retrofitted to -D, or a refund of an amount in deference of the two vessels cost be given.

Thank you for pointing out this outstanding contract from the previous Monzo Shipyards management. I have placed the order to begin the final retrofits, although it appears the repair ships that had been doing the job have been transfered to the Navy. The materiel should be purchased now and ready for your ships to install.
