Thats because you have to research them first, combat sensors or scanners etc.. As for warp points, they should be there at the edge of you home system UNLESS you manually set up the game and selected no warp points? Presumably you didn't do that?

Is this DN4 or DN5?
DN5 should have sensors in the normal research areas.

In DN4 you need to research different things for different sensors. Lv2 Sensors will give you a new tech area "EM Sensors" tie that in with Advanced Military Science to get EM Passive sensors and (I think) Physics to get EM Active sensors. Each racial trait will have a new tech area for their sensors once you've researched the racial theoretical tech.

There is an Excel file in with the mod that will show what techs/components/facilities are and how to research them all.

Sorry about that, presumptions on my behalf, I am playing SE 5 and DN 5.04.

Basic sensor's are not available at the start of the game under normal starting conditions. They are there if I start a all technology game.

From what I can see there does seem to be any logical research paths to get them.

Also, is this why I have no warp points?

I could understand having to research up your sensor's from very basic at the beginning but not just to see warp points.

Cheers,

Teddy Bär

that is very odd as I have not made any changes to sensors and sensor techs in 5.04... I'll have to check to make sure I didn't mess something up.
