Hi all,

One of our players has indicated that he no longer has time for our F&I Redux PBW game, so his spot will be open as soon as he drops officially.

He is playing the Rogue Imperium, which is not one of the strongest empires right now, but is not among the weakest, either. They are in a very rough neighborhood, but their most aggressive neighbors are busy fighting each other, and to my knowledge the Rogue have never been attacked with significant forces. They have a respectable number of colonies and their position could potentially become much stronger, although they probably will never be as powerful as the Beareu of Homeworld Security or the Omnicron Exchange.

The galaxy is currently divided into two teams and a number of neutral players. On the west is the Fractalian team consisting of the Fractalians, Biodyne Inc. (me), and an open possible third member that has yet to be recruited. On the east is the Tribble team, consisting of the Tribbles, Kingdom of Valence, and the Praetorians. Empires actively battling each other are the Kingdom of Valence and Biodyne in the west, and the Beareu of Homeworld Security against the Tribbles, Praetorians, and Kingdom of Valence in the east. Any empire or team that gains control of both the Tribble and Fractalian homeworld for any amount of time wins the game, so a neglected neutral like the Rogue could conceivably wrest both worlds in a surprise attack and win.

The biggest potential threat to the Rogue would be an attack from the Beaureu, who have been extremely aggressive from the start of the game and who possess by far the largest resource base of any player. However, given that the new Omnicron ships are embarassingly superior to all current designs and are available for sale to anyone, a handful of Omnicron battlecruisers could probably stop most invasions in their tracks, and it will probably be another 10 turns before anyone will have ordered, purchased, and moved the new Omnicron ships into place for an invasion, giving a new Rogue player time to put his house in order. I do not think an attack from any player other than the Beaureu is likely, although I admit to having only secondhand knowledge of the goings-on in that part of the galaxy.

Please let me know here or by PM if you are interested in taking over.
