Is anyone here familiar with the planets from the starscape mod?

IMHO, it makes planets more realisticly sized, classed, and makes facility and population amounts on a planet more realistic.

Most modders avoid using the starsape method of planet naming because renaming planet sizes causes problems when starting a game: namely, players start on random planet sizes, and often on sizes different from each other.

Of course, on premade maps, this isnt an issue.
But then a secondary problem arises. And this comes from the AI. I've figured out how to solve this problem.

I have sucessfully implimented the starscape planets into Adamant mod, along with the amazing eyecandy planetary graphics from Starscape.

I have recieved permission in the past from the owner of Starscape to utilize his graphics elsewhere, but if anyone is interested, I can ask him about his coding for planets etc.

Again, IMHO, since these planet sizes are more realistic, they make for an amazing RP experience. They would make a great addition to a mod, and I would be more than happy to assist with integration of these planets (and any other stellar objects you like from this mod) into your mod and the adaptation of the ai to this new planet system.

I would do a mod of this alone... but frankly, planets alone isnt enough for a mod. Its a pity I couldn't do a mod over a mod.... that would work quite well for this idea.

Krsqk System Mod did that same sort of thing too, at least in regards to randomization. Not saying Starscape copied Krsqk or anything, just pointing out the coincidence. It didn't have any new graphics though. You can find the mod here on SEnet in the Downloads section.

Smarter than your average Texrak.
