Okay, so I have been busy lately, but I just came by to say a few SEIV/V-related things on my mind.
1) I really hope the Galactic Empire shipset gets approved, also I'd like to see a Free Planets Alliance one to play it against...
2) See above but also apply to SEIV...
3) I am loving the new shipsets that are currently being worked on. This looks great!

Hm... I just recently thought about such (which shipsets I'd like) ...
Well, my wishes would be :
1) Shivans from Freespace
. [ actually, should I ever get the time, I might make this one myself... ':.:' ]
2) shipsets from Master of Orion 2, obviously, as I could need them for my mod
3) Core and Arm from "Total Annihilation" (yes, that's a groundbased RTS, but there also exist space mods for it)
. ( hm, Seraphim/Aeon/Cybran from Supreme Commander Forged Alliance might be a nice idea, too; especially the Seraphim with their tech4-bomber as design-guideline for spaceships  )
4) from Homeworld : Kadeshi, Turanic Raiders, T-Mat, Progenitors, Beast, Somtaaw, Bentusi
5) several species/shipsets from Wing Commander; especially Steltek (from Privateer 1) , Nephilim (WCP), and WC2-versions of Confed & Kilrathi
6) Ancients & Vasudans ( both also from FS; for the Ancients there are only community-models in existence, since they have been wiped out by the time of the stock campaigns )
7) the "Chigs" from S:AAB , eventually
... hm, Wraith would be nice, too - where is the set (or at least pics of it) ?
[ sorry, I've got about 50 open tabs already and don't feel like searching through another subforum yet; also, it's getting late here ]
That's all I'm remembering right now... but certainly enough for a beginning

If I could have a suggestion, maybe it would be the best to finish the shipsets in the SENet Shipyards which are only partly complete with missing original unit models and textures.

Or do new skins for them? that'd be quick enough and easy enough that I could do it...
Actually I might. At least for the shipsets I'm using in Warp 10 mod.

Maybe I'll fix some shipsets in the meantime myself. But aside from fixing incomplete sets I would appreciate alien sets increase in numbers, preferably from other games and originals.

Shipsets. I found the advent from from Sins (very nice Prometeu btw), and would like the other 2 races.
Seeing as a lot of shipsets have been scattered to the far distant internetz. Would the modders be willing to create a dedicated thread for links?

It would be hard to do a full doctor who shipset based off the current series... Maybe the older one but they don't spend enough time with a race in this one...

I was thinking a "Bad Guy" set as well as a artistic interpretation of the Time Lord Ships (all of them of course being a TARDIS) Since the Cemealion feature of the tardis allows it to appear as nearly anything, the various ship types could appear as appropriate Objects (Colony ships might look like a small planet, a base-ship might look like the citadel of the time lords, etc)
I believe that in more recent episodes of the show we've seen enough Cyber-man fleets to make a set.
just my thought tho.

Since I've stalled on my manty set, I've been playing with some old models of Daleks, pretty much finished a lowish poly NSD dalek that should make a decent "fighter" or "troop" , and last night I made a little progress on a dalek mothership(it's at the texturing phase, my second weakest skillset, at least if i suck at it, it is kinda fun playing with GIMP, but not only do I suck at everything that comes after the modeling bit, it's also demoralizing  ).
Shouldn't be that hard to extrapolate a few more dalek ships, since they just seem to be various sizes of flying saucers(basically what i did witht he manties, just make one and copy it, changing the paintjob and scale). I also have references of the genesis device, the progenitor a SWD, ect. that should serve to fill out the units and whatnot.
Edit: SUCCESS! I finally got the utilities and gizmoes I've been after on these stupid library pcs, I think I can finally progress and finish the manties off with what I got. Then I'll make a run at the Daleks.

Do the Racnoss! sure we only saw one ship, but It'd make for an interesting set.
