i must be blind. can somebody please tell me how to use a shipset for my own empire, graphics and everything?

There are 3 things to change.
First make a name in the Empires Folder for the folder to be your new empire.
Pic - These 3 files are easy to change.
Flag - Same with these.
Ships - The ships can be used from another empire in the new game Add Empire or make your own.
Until I can make a shipset for my Tri I just have the pics and flagset in its folder and use a shipset that is already made.

Im still rather confused but im going to play with it abit.
I have Atrocities federation shipset. Im going to try putting that folder in every empires folder i can find.
On top of that I guess I need place files in various other folders? (Pic,Flag,Ships?)

Ahhh Apparently I wasnt putting the folder inside the Right Empires folder.
Now its in all of them and a small Datafile adjustment and Im now seeing That familiar saucer-shaped ship in the model list. =) Thank you for your fast response

Uhh.. you only need to put the Federation folder in the SE5\Empires folder. You should not be doing anything with any other folders in there. Each set is its own self-contained folder.
Smarter than your average Texrak.

Ahh ok. Thanks. I noticed the folder looked identical to the other empires I guess the first time I just managed to pick the wrong one and figured I was missing something. Working fine now Now im figuring out how to replace some of the races with.. more familiar species.
Im thinking the Sergetti should look more... roman.. with pointy ears. and nasty cloaked ships named after various birds.. Predators and the like... I think im on on to something...
