I have 7 of my combat ships against one of their planet , 2 satellites , 3 combat ships and 2 freighters , My ships would attack the satellites ,the planet and their combat ships but not the freighters , I have to say that all my ships were destroyed by the enemy planet but i wonder why my ships don't shoot at the freighters..

It might be a priority thing.
If the ships are told to shoot "armed ships" before "unarmed ships", the planet may count as an armed ship.
They could simply be prioritized to shoot planets before unarmed ships, too.
There is a fine line between Genius and Insanity. I am firmly on one side of that line!

I would also suggest to look at the target types in the strategy used by the ships. As I recall the priority for unarmed ships is quite low.

In the game I'm playing right now, all ministers are under computer control , except for research , so i don't know about the strategy used by my ships , maybe you should check that for your next version of BM (1.10) what do you think ?

I don't there is a problem. Combat ships should attack targets with weapons first before they worry about engaging targets without weapons.

The problem we had in a IRM simultaneous game, is that a fleet of frigates, would not pursue minelayers entering the hex. They would instead spin on themselves and sometimes around. I'd guess my opponent was using the default Optimal Firing Range strategy.
