Do fighters acrue experience?

Would like to know if fighters acrue experience like the capital ships do and if not what can be done to make it so?

Sounds interesting. Unfortunatly evan if they do gather experience, they are most often used in groups, meaning that it would draw from the fighter group expeirence (Fleet). And since fighter groups are offten different....I don't know....Does each unit actually register as a "Ship"?

Thats what I was looking into, going to have to conduct a few experiments to see. The data files shows just the ships gaining experience (and fleets of course) but not units specifically.

Was wondering if you could have an Ace fighter pilot out there (I don't know, like SCAR).

i can solve this one str8 off.
fighters count as units, and no unit such as drones, saterlites or fighters gain experience.

after some tests though i foudn that fighters gain any EXP bonus that the carrier ship/station has, so if you have an uber trained carrier then all its fighters will gain its bonus (this only applys if they are launched in combat with the "fighter attack" stratagy)

if launched in the normal window as a group they gain no EXP bonus
