I recently found that the person who made the Gallente shipset left a almost fully finished shipset with only the slots missing. This is like a gift from (fill your deity name in here) since I can do basic 3d modelling but I texture about as well as a goldfish walks. So now I've got only a minor problem left:
How the heck do I mod the slots if there's nothing to mod in the beginning?
I could likely solve this problem myself but using my last problem solving episode as a guide I'd rather just skip the 50 or so computer crashes.
So could someone either instruct me how to create new slot configs with Suicide Junkie's slot modder or could someone possibly point me to kwayne's slot modder. I've seen pics of it and, no offense to Suicide Junkie, but it looks a bit more user friendly. But thus far I've only found broken links.

I you find kwayne's slot modder let me know! I would like to use it also!.
Anyway, I do use SJ's slot modder and heres how it goes.
Open slot modder, select file, open the InvConfig.txt data file for the empire you wish to edit. Select the specific ship/unit you wish to edit (there will be a list of them). Select ok after you find the one you want. Next, click on background menu tab and open up the corresponding InvPortrait.jpeg file for the unit/ship your editing.
You can move the slots around, delete, add or change the TYPE of slot that it is (armor, innner, outer). It should auto number the slots when you add so don't worry too much about the slot name.
Once your done moving, adding or deleting slots, select save file as the exact file you opened.
Here is the important part I learned, close down the slot modder program and reopen. I use to get wierd stuff if I continued to edit different ships/units in the same instance. Its a little inconvenient but its still better than manual editing

Might want to send it multiple times as a safety precaution. Yahoo seems to be hit or miss with large file tranfers.
Also Isopsyco my problem isn't the actual editing part. I've got that part down and after looking at several shipsets have managed to figure out ways to avoid the common pitfalls such as putting two slots on top of each other (you just have to have the time and patience to check through every slot on every design). My real problem is that I don't know how to create a new design layout. Do I just put the design name in the .txt file and go to the editor? Is there and option I missed in the editor menu?

The Slotmodder's ship entered the hyperspace and reached its destination.

Sorry, and yes just type a blank entry with the new ship layout. When you open it up in slotmodder it will have zero slots. There should be some kind of education status level concerning SEV, that way I don't give unnecessary info and can go into more detail like you need

now I got a different problem. I never played Eve so I have no idea about these ships characteristics. I'm looking at some of the inv pic and see things that look like they might be some sort of external bridge but the could just as easily be some sort of sensor cluster. I know its unlikely but does anyone possibly have blueprints, detailed description, etc. of the Ships for the "Minmatar"? I'm going to check wiki but the more detail I can get the better I'll do at it.
