Whilst daydreaming my education away today, I thought of an idea that would be great as a mod, or at least an feature of another mod. It may be hard/impossible to implement.
Idea: If any of your planets become so unhappy they revolt, you should get more than a production penalty. Any planets that are unhappy enough to rebel should 'band together' and create a political entity with the rebelling planets and ships over the planets. Basically, the rebels would be a separate empire, having the same shipset and empire name, but a different color and empire type.
Ex: Rebels breaking away from the New Terran Protectorate would be the New Terran Rebels or Rebellion, and use the NT shipset.
I don't know how hard this would be to implement, but it would be fun crushing rebellions.

I don't know if they rebel. They DO go into chaos. I mean more like the American Civil War, where there were two different political entities. You could speak directly to them and offer voluntary reunification with forgiveness, or burn the rebellion to the ground Back to top
If a planet's happiness drops low enough then it will rebel automatically after a certain time, I believe. It is also possible through random events. Each rebelling planet forms it's own neutral faction, usually named after the system it started in with a random type, etc.
I don't think your idea is really possible, to be honest. Unofficial Adamant 0.16.xx Bug Hunter Back to top
