"SE5MapCreator" is visual GUI to create and edit (previously created by the same application) maps for SE5. It can't edit the maps generated by the game, as the encryption used by Malfador hasn't been released, or at least I don't know it.
This Map Creator / Editor uses the mapcompiler released by MM.
This Map Creator couldn't have been written without the base put by Rick (rick@gibbed.us) and his map creator for Space Empires 5 ((c) Malfador Machinations 2006) (more info on http://www.spaceempires5.com/en-US/project/rmg).
This script file is designed to be included by others.
It renders optional the prefix "Sys_" and all of the underscores found in all of Aaron''s function names.
So instead of typing:
"Sys_Get_Empire_Research_Tech_Area_Accumulated_Points(playerIdx, techID)"
You can say just:
"GetEmpireResearchTechAreaAccumulatedPoints(playerIdx, techID)"
OR
"Get_Empire_Research_Tech_Area_Accumulated_Points(playerIdx, techID)"
OR
"SysGetEmpireResearchTechAreaAccumulatedPoints(playerIdx, techID)"
This program is something I wrote (using DBPro) on a weekend to spare myself from the procedure of mesh size correction. You can determine scale multiplier values by shrinking and enlarging your model while comparing it to it's Terran equivalent. Very useful if you're dealing with a complete set of mis-proportioned ships.
Note: Place the executable file into the "Empires" directory of SEV.
